Blessed by God, Not People

11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Matthew 5:11-12

Luke 6:22 Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.

How do we handle it when someone hates or insults us? Jesus said to pray for our enemies! I have had to do that this week, even before I wrote this.

Sometimes the hurt the person sends to you is because they have very deep hurt from someone else in their past or present life. Hurt can turn to bitterness very fast.

Matthew 5:43-44

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Acts 8:22-24

22 Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.

23 For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin.”

Ephesians 4:31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.

Pray for bitterness to leave your life and any person that has hurt you, pray is the only answer for reconciliation, only Jesus can bring unconditional love to you and the persons.

Jesus loves you! I love you!
